Roger Mooney is the Bradenton Herald's lead sports columnist and has covered the Tampa Bay Rays since their inception in 1998. His column can be found in the Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday print editions of the Herald. Roger has won numerous local, state and national writing honors, and has been honored with the Shelby Strother Award — given to Florida's top sports writer — three of the past four years.
